Imagine the freedom of being able to record without having to drag your entire drum set to the recording studio. Well, now you can!

The new PED02M electronic drum kit comes complete with an MP3 recorder, making it easy to play and record from the confines of your own home. No more angry neighbors or upset roommates -- just plug in your headphones and play your heart out. Everyone knows that practice makes perfect. So now you can practice anytime you want, in the comfort of your own home. Since you can record it, you can listen to it later, mobile audio style in your car!

This compact, all-in-one solution is a drummer’s best friend. Complete with five ultra-responsive drum pads, two natural motion cymbal pads, and both hi-hat and bass pedals, the pads on the PED02M drum kit are so sensitive they feel like real, natural drums.

Including 11 pre-set drum kits with up to four variations, the PED02M’s 16-bit/44.1 kHz 3D sound quality will leave even the most seasoned and serious drummer in awe. The kit comes with a built-in reverb switch and metronome, an A-B looping function, MIDI in and outs, and of course the built in MP3 layer/recorder. The kit even comes with a stereo line-in for a portable MP3 mobile audio device, so you can practice along with any MP3 or CD.

Nice Hydraulics, How's Your Car Audio Woofer?

I love the west coast G style, and I've always dreamed of having a '64 Impala Lowrider. One day, I saw just the right one parked on my street. It belonged to an old man I knew. I pestered him for about a year before he sold it to me. I told him how I was going to soup it up, too, no secrets. He was cool. He even made me promise to get a high quality car audio woofer, so I wouldn't embarrass him when I was riding around. Dude had his rep to consider, like anyone!

When I bought it, I didn't have a ton of money. That car was a labor of love. I started with the superficial: a crazy hydraulic system with some chrome spokes and a sick paint job. So it looked great. But I was going to school, working, paying rent at the time. How was I going to afford a top-notch car audio woofer?

If it weren't for Pyle Sound Around, I would not be listening to the sweet sounds I'm hearing now. In fact, I might not even be driving. I promised I wouldn't embarrass my old friend, but mostly I didn't want to embarrass myself. The system in the car was weak. But I bought this sick car audio woofer from Pyle at a way lower price than the ones I'd been looking at in the store, and everything's been a smooth ride from there.

When I drive down my block, sometimes my buddy is sitting in a chair on his stoop. I slow down right in front of him, bump the bass, bounce the hydraulics, and he gets the biggest grin on his face you ever saw.

Tis The Season For Car Audio Speakers

It's summertime, which if you're anything like me, means two things:

1. Roll the windows down.
2. Turn the stereo up!

Last summer I embarrassed myself pretty good, blowing out my car audio speakers at a stoplight. There were some extremely good-looking girls on the corner, and I was jammin in the car, my seat leaned back just a little, not too much, and they were smiling at me, which I considered a signal to give them just a little more of my tunes, so I bumped the volume a notch or two and...boom. Fizzle. Quiet. They laughed.

They laughed, so it's all good, right? But how much better would it be if they were laughing with me, not at me, say, across the table at Mickey D's, drinking shakes and eating fries? What I really wish is that we still had drive-ins, like in the 50s. I'd leave the car audio speakers loud, so we had to shout over each other, just for fun, sharing fries and ketchup across the console. Sweet.

Obviously this year, I needed new car audio speakers. I wanted top of the line equipment, and I wanted the works. Not just speakers, but amps, subwoofers, the whole nine. Now I don't make a ton of money, so I had to find quality hardware at discount prices. I guess you know where I found it all, since you're reading this blog, too.

And if you happen to be one of those lovely ladies from my neighborhood, keep an ear out. Here I come.

2 Cool Mobile Audio Items

In terms of mobile audio, there are literally thousands of parts you can add to your kit, which can make deciding what you need a little hard—there’s just too much to choose from! Now there's stuff like Pyle Audio's in-dash monitors and CD changers to keep you and your passengers sane and entertained.

If you’re planning on taking a road trip during these hot summer months, why not give your car audio the coolest upgrade and keep your passengers entertained (and keep them from annoying you)? The 7'' Motorized In-Dash TFT-LCD Monitor w/AM/FM TV Tuner & CD Changer Control is the perfect addition to your mobile audio this summer and will make getting there much more fun.

This system is truly an audio visual wonder. It features a motorized eject/flip-up LCD monitor, a TV/AV switch for easy switching between sources, a fully functional remote control, RCA jacks for easy hook-up of external video sources, an AM/FM receiver, and a CD changer controller. That’s right: the old days of cranky passengers in the back seat asking “are we there yet?” and making you want to wreck the car are over! Everyone can be entertained when you upgrade your mobile audio to this sweet system.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://pyleaudio.blogspot.com/2010/06/road-trippin-give-your-car-mobile-audio.html' title='Road Trippin'? It works by splitting a music signal into a few separate frequency ranges. It then sends them to speakers that are designed to best reproduce each frequency range. Sounds complicated, we know. But if you remember our tutorials on car audio subwoofers and tweeters, you can get the hand of a crossover. For instance, the crossover lets only high frequencies transmit to your tweeters, midrange to your mid range speakers, and lows to your subwoofer. So in a way, it’s like the crossing guard of the sound waves, making sure everyone gets where they need to go, safely.

There are two types of crossovers: passive and active.

The passive crossover is very commonly used. It's basically a capacitor or coil installed on the speaker leads, between amplifier and speaker that stops certain unwanted frequencies from reaching a speaker. It's popular probably because it’s relatively inexpensive and easy to install.

But for your car stereo system to be as efficient as possible and all in all, perform better, an active crossover (sometimes called an electric crossover) will be your best bet. It is installed between your equalizer and your amps and works by sending the proper frequency ranges to each amplifier. One big difference from passive crossovers, is that active crossovers are almost infinitely adjustable. You can vary the crossover points and adjust the level of separate speakers to achieve the best, most crisp overall sound in your car audio system.

Two-Way, Three-Way, or Four Way Car Audio Speaker?

Shopping for the perfect car audio speaker? There are a few things you should know before you make your selection. Check it out:

Two-way Speakers:

Through two-way speakers, music can be reproduced with pretty decent accuracy by two-way, also known as coaxial speakers. They use a separate crossover and tweeter to produce high frequency reproduction that exceeds the single cone or dual cone extended range models that are equipped with whizzer cones.

Three-way Speakers:

Three-way—aka triaxial speakers—take the separate woofer and tweeter from a two-way design and add a dedicated midrange driver for enhanced production of the crucial middle frequency area. This can in turn, boost the overall uniformity of the sound.

Four Way:

These add a small super tweeter to expand the high range frequency response out to 22 to 25 khz. This seems like a big plus, but you should keep in mind that most people can’t hear sounds above 15khz. Plus when you factor in the road noise and sounds in the automobile, those delicate sounds could easily be muddled.

Whatever you decide on, you should get your car audio components from the most affordable place with the best selection: Pyle Audio!

Capacitors: An Integral Part of Mobile Audio

Every mobile audio system is built of several parts. From car audio amplifiers, to speakers, to woofers; all of the pieces work together to create one harmonious unit. One key piece of mobile audio equipment is the capacitor. The capacitor is important to the system as a whole because it works as the systems energy storage unit, providing energy for the amplifiers to sounds as good as they do.

Capacitors are essential for high-powered systems. Your car audio amplifiers require a lot of power to play loud music, especially when it’s heavy on the bass. Moreover, without a capacitor your amp will be robbed of power by parts like your lights, engine and air conditioner. It’s very evident when an amp isn’t receiving enough power. Typically, the interior lights will dim, sometimes to the beat of the music. This happens because your amplifier is trying to use more energy than the electrical system can supply. Capacitors come in handy because they provide your amplifiers the boost of energy they need to get the job done, without diverting power necessary to run things like your lights and air conditioner.

For the best selection of mobile audio parts and supplies like capacitors, visit Pyle Audio!

More Car Audio Terms: Tweeters

Tweeters are an integral aspect of mobile audio and provide the highs to the car audio subwoofers low. Their name is derived from the high-pitch noises birds make. Alternatively, car audio subwoofers name comes from the low frequency noise a dog makes.

Essentially, a tweeter is a loudspeaker that is designed to produce high frequencies from around 2,000 Hz to 20,000 Hz (Which is crazy because that’s generally considered to be upper limit of human hearing!)

There are many different types of tweeters, with cone tweeters being the most efficient and economical of the mobile audio bunch. Dome tweeters are also popular, but they are most commonly found in home audio speakers. Hard dome tweeters tend to produce a higher frequency. There is also a super tweeter! Which, obviously the name warrants an exclamation point. A super tweeter is constructed to playback the highest frequencies starting at around 10 kHz and going well beyond human audibility, some exceeding 25kHz.
A cool thing about tweeters is, that much like human bodies, they contain a diaphragm that produces its sound.

For the best deals on tweeters and other mobile audio parts, you know where to go…Pyle Audio!

Interesting Facts About the Subwoofer

We all love car audio subwoofers, they add an extra punch to music and is essential to any mobile audio kit. But have you ever wondered how our beloved car audio subwoofers got their start? Here’s a little history lesson:

The first-ever subwoofer was developed in the 60s by the former president of Miller & Kriesel Sound Corporation in Los Angeles, Ken Kriesel. It was designed as a response to complaints from people who purchased high-end speakers. They thought the speakers lacked bass. Kriesel then developed woofers that would transmit the low sounds that the regular electrostatic speakers couldn’t pick up.

The first use of a subwoofer was in a 1973 recording session for Steely Dan’s album Pretzel Logic. The woofer made it’s big screen debut in the 1974 movie Earthquake which was released in Sensasound. Intially installed in 17 theaters around the U.S., Sensasound used large subwoofers which were powered by racks of 500 watt amps triggered by control tones of the audio in the film. There were four subwoofers placed at the front of the theater, and four at the rear.

Mobile Audio Kits or Separates?

When I finally got around to upgrading my system, I had a hard time deciding if I wanted to go for simplicity and just get a complete kit, or go for attempt a challenge and buy separates. I recently discovered a band that I always shunned – The Stooges. They rock. Hard. I always thought they were more in the punk scene, but little did I know that they actually invented the punk scene with their first albums in the late 60’s.

Anyway, when I put them on my mobile audio, it makes me happy that I have large car audio amplifiers, because I really get my money's worth with the electric guitar solos and drumming bass lines. Some music just has to be listened to really, really loudly.

I’ve also been bumping a lot of Sly and the Family Stone lately. Those guys were the progenitors of rhythm and blues. While James Brown had soul covered, these dudes from San Francisco were taking psychedelic rock and fusing it with soul to bring music into uncharted waters.

For them, I have to turn up the bass. My car audio amplifiers help here, but I couldn’t do it without my car audio woofer. That baby really makes the beat bump.

It doesn’t matter what kind of music you listen to. Sometimes you just want to rock out a little bit. Or a lot. That’s when it helps to have some great car audio.

The History of Car Audio

Car audio is one of those modern conveniences that we often take for granted. Hopping in the car and listening to some tunes is relaxing and fun. But it wasn’t always that way.

It all started back in the 1930’s when the Galvin brothers invented the first commercial car radio. It sold for about $110 which is the equivalent today, to about $1700.

In the 50’s, the seek button was invented using a Town and Country mode. While in town, you could seek for the strongest signals only, and in the country, the sensitivity of the radio allowed you to pick up more distant signals.

The 60’s and 70’s saw the introduction of record players into cars due to higher power voltages. Unfortunately, this players were large and never gained mass popularity. In 1964 Philips invented the cassette tape and the 8 track followed.

In the 80’s home speakers were used in cars, but were ill suited to the extreme temperatures and vibrations of the road. The focus switched to volume and sound quality, with importance placed on the car audio subwoofer, car audio amplifiers, and the car audio speaker.

Today, car audio continues to improve in terms of power and quality. Car audio is a modern phenomenon that allows music to become the focus of your driving experience.

And why shouldn’t it be? There’s nothing sweeter than to be cruising to a friend’s house or a party with your favorite tunes pumping in the summertime sun. You sing along and pat the beat on your steering wheel with the palms of your hands. The sun shines and you’ve got your windows down to let the breeze blow in, and pedestrians look at you and some show dismay at how loud your car audio is and some show enthusiasm that you’re enjoying yourself so much, and they wish secretly that they were with you, in the car, head nodding along to your favorite song, and the light changes, and you zoom off and the music dopplers away, and they’re left standing there, walking, without any car audio.

It’s so much better to have mobile audio that allows you to look forward to driving, rather than sitting in your car with a weak stereo that you can’t even crank, or even worse, driving in silence.

Balance Is Crucial To Car Audio

Mobile audio is important. You have probably experienced a car audio speaker that has blown out. The result is ghastly. How can anyone deal with that for any longer, you probably asked yourself, and rightly so.

Of course speakers are important, but that’s not it. Car audio amplifiers are also especially necessary to having top of the line mobile audio. Amps make the sound louder, literally. They modify the tone by emphasizing or de-emphasizing specific frequencies. This makes your speakers able to produce louder tunes, and then it comes down to how capable your speakers are.

A car audio woofer is important too. Bass can lend a lot to many kinds of music and fill out the sound of whatever it is you’re listening to. If you have crazy amps and speakers, but lack a car audio woofer, your sound will be hollow and empty. In other words, you’ll be missing out on your fullest car audio capabilities.
So don’t go all out when it comes to just speakers or amps or a car audio woofer, it’s important to have car audio that’s balanced. If you really want to invest in one of the three aspects, think about the speakers, they allow you to enjoy the quality of your music to the fullest.

Car Audio Tips: How to Tune an Amplifier

After the installation process, it is very important that your tune your amplifier. An improperly tuned amp can really interfere with your sound quality and produce annoying distortion when you’re trying to play music from your system. All in all, not tuning your amp correctly can end up being a huge hassle to deal with. Fortunately, tuning car audio amplifiers is very simple and can be done by following these easy steps.

1) Turn the amplifier down low.

2) Turn the radio up to at least ¾ volume.

3) Last, you want to turn the amplifier up until it sounds the way you want it sound.

Your goal is to get loud, clear bass that doesn’t clip and out sound muddy or distorted. Remember that once the system is set where you want it, don’t toy around with it. Leave the levels on the head unit and the amp alone, or you could risk blowing out your speakers.

If you’re a more visual learner, here is a really helpful video made by a stereo system designer that goes over how to properly tune car audio amplifiers.

End Stolen Car Audio: Get an In-Dash CD Receiver

I love my car, and apparently, so do thieves. In the past year, my car has been broken into four times. After the first break-in all of my CD’s were gone. I was mad at first, but then I realized I was kind of asking for it by leaving them on the seat with the window slightly down. I vowed to be more careful and put my stuff away.

I got an iPod and when I went in to work, I would leave it in my locked glove compartment. Well my locked glove compartment was no match for the second burglar. Upon breaking into my car, he cracked the lock and was probably elated to find a perfectly good iPod. I was furious and installed an alarm system on my car, but it was so sensitive that even a paper bag blowing by would cause it to go off. My neighbor’s complained about it sounding off at all hours of the night, so I had it removed.

Bad move. The third time my car got broken into, the burglar was especially heartless. He completely ripped out my car audio system in my dash, leaving a gaping hole where my CD player once was. I was pretty upset, but knew there had to be a practical car audio solution that was safe from thieves.

Once I saved up the money, I got an In-Dash receiver with a detachable face. I love the security of being able to just pop off the face and carry it in with me wherever I go.
My car hasn’t been broken into again since my last incident, but if it does happen, there’s no way they’re getting my car audio!

3 Things You Need to Get Optimal Car Audio

Most drivers can’t live without music during their commutes. Music has a sort of calming effect by distracting us from the bad traffic, slow drivers, or the exceedingly long trip to work every morning. It put us at ease when our road rage starts to boil up and give us something else to focus on when we can’t stop thinking about how much we hate driving.

So because music is so important to many drivers, it’s important that they have quality car audio. There are many components that makes a good sound system, but here are 3 crucial things you need to take your sound to the next level.

Car audio subwoofers. Subwoofers are the key to a solid sound system. Sounds are multi-dimensional and subwoofers really augment the lowest, highest, and every thing in between creating a more full sound.

Car audio amplifiers. Amps are what the subwoofers plug into to deliver the sound. They work together to produce the full booming sound many looking to update their systems want.

Car audio speakers. The speakers installed in your car at the factory just don’t hold a candle to the quality level of speakers you can get by going to Pyle Audio. If you’re getting new woofers and amps, you’re going to need a tough pair of speakers to handle the sound.

For Larger Than Life Sound Get a Car Audio Subwoofer

I recently got a new car and at first, was perfectly content with everything, and didn’t bat an eye at the car audio quality. Actually, perfectly content doesn’t do it justice, I was THRILLED. Being that my former car was a ’92 Civic with a bad transmission and no air conditioning, I would take anything that didn’t leave me stranded on a regular basis.

So when my friend asked me how the sound system was, I said it was incredible! And it was, compared to my other car, which didn’t even have a radio, let alone working speakers. I’m a huge music buff, so I definitely wanted a car with an awesome sound system.

When I picked him up for lunch to show it off, he put on some tunes to test out the speakers and I was shocked when he burst out in laughter at how puny the sound was. He suggested that if I wanted a larger than life sound that amplified the lowest and loudest booms in my music I needed to upgrade my system and get a car audio subwoofer.

I have a long commute to work everyday, and music is pretty much the only thing that keeps me sane in rush hour. So for me, it was crucial that I had the best sound system possible. I went to pyleaudio.com and ordered the perfect car audio woofer for my car. I now have sound quality that will blow your hair back!

Car Audio Woofer? Bass is my favorite, but I am well aware of all the other necessary accessories for crazy huge sound. I want to be that guy who you hear pulling up three blocks away and say, O Mikey’s here. Ya, well that’s me.

I have six thousand watts of power from my car audio amplifiers in my backseat and eighteen inch eighteen hundred watt car audio woofers. My car audio is crazy sick. Some of my friends can’t even sit in the car when the bass is all the way up. Can you believe that? They’re kinda wimpy, but they’re good guys. But so I go to pyleaudio.com for all my car audio.

Right now I’m working on some new car audio speakers for my front seat, because I really feel like a lot of the power comes from the back, and I’m not experiencing it as fully as I could be. So the guys at Pyle are hooking that up for me for a pretty good price, and then next, I might think about getting some more bass. The car audio amplifiers again work in the same manner as the normal amplifiers found indoors. Most standard head units that are located in vehicles do have some sort of amplifier attached; these however do not have enough power to run both the speakers and a subwoofer.

For this reason most will opt for an external amplifier to attain this higher level of power, the beauty of these amplifiers is that they can be placed in any part of the vehicle and wired accordingly.

For more info and all of your car audio needs visit www.PyleAudio.com today.

Enjoy Better Car Audio Sound With These Cool Enhancements

If you love taking your music everywhere you go, then you will want to have some mobile audio for your car. There is a wide range of various types of stereo sets available today for use in cars. You can get the same great sound as your home system by adding enhancements such as the car audio amplifiers. You can even have a car audio subwoofer installed to really bring out the tones in the music.

And if you do, well generally, you would want to mount the car audio woofer toward the back of the vehicle. This allows the vibrations of the tones to be fully enjoyed through the whole space of the car. In addition to woofers for your mobile audio, you can use standard speakers. You can have a car audio speaker mounted at both sides of the back seat to create more of a stereo surround sound.

And by the way, while most car audio systems are designed to deliver optimal performance, the actual sound quality you hear may vary depending on the soundproofing of the car. The more sealed the car is from the outside noises, the better your sound quality will be.

What Mistakes Should I Avoid When Buying Mobile Audio?

It's really easy to get caught up in the excitement of buying mobile audio products. But, it's important we keep our heads on straight and watch for these popular mistakes that people make when buying things like mobile audio, car audio and car audio speaker products! Make the mobile audio fit your budget. A lot of people will go overboard with some really pricey items - items that won't even do well in their car. So not only is it important to set a budget, but it's also important to do some research or find a site that will offer insight on your purchases.

Secondly, it's important to try and figure out how long you are going to have the car for. If you plan on selling it in a few months, you should price in the amount of money the car audio was along with the price of the car - or you can choose to take the car audio out and just sell the car by itself. Either way - it's important to remember the amount you spent on the mobile audio! Next, you need to consider the usage of the car. Believe me when I say usage has a lot to do with the options you choose from, the prices you consider and the brands to take a look at. Not all car audio subwoofer systems are created equal.

If you plan on having a lot of bassy music going through the speakers, or you plan on using the radio a lot - it's important you choose a car audio woofer that can stand up to the test of time! Don't buy something cheap just because it's cheap. Buy something quality made that will produce the sound you want and will last a long time. Lastly, it's important to factor in WHO the car is for. If it's for just yourself, you can probably get away with just utilizing car audio amplifiers, car audio speakers and other mobile audio aspects. However, if you plan to have kids in the car, you could also consider a few different options such as installing TVs, game consoles, or DVD players!

Upgrade Your Car With All The Car Audio Options You Want!

Some people don't really care about what kind of audio system is installed in their cars, as long as it produces some sort of a sound. Other people, music lovers and talk show buffs like me, well… we do care for sound quality and find ourselves in constant search for gadgets that can make our car audio experience all that much better!
So, when getting ready for a new car audio system, it's important to not only look at the brand of the car audio, but to look at the very important extras that could really bring music to a whole other level.

These items include products such as car audio speaker systems, car audio subwoofer or car audio woofer systems as well as car audio amplifiers. Now if you plan on installing all of these products on your own, you also might want to invest in component wires and kits - which are without a doubt going to make the installation go a whole lot quicker and easier!

If you really want to show off, or just make the kids quite, you can also look at mobile video, gaming systems, TVs and even DVDs.

My cousin has a DVD and LCD for her kids, and I gotta say, her road trips are quieter and more relaxed than they used to be! If you like the same old same old, great. Stick with the system you have now. For example, for my 30th Birthday I decided I wanted to get a replica Shelby GT 500. I know replicas aren't the same as the real deal, but maybe when I'm 40 I'll have an early midlife and get a real one. In the meantime, I decided to rip out the old seats (oh I hear the screams!) and put in black leather seats with grayish stripes around the seams. I like black and grey and black and silver what do you want me to say!

I also added some more modern gadgetry as well - such as a better system and speakers for my car audio, and mobile video for my front dash, which looks really cool by the way. I wanted to add GPS, but it simply wouldn't fit with all the "original" accessories added on the car. I get a lot of people that get in my car and they are thoroughly impressed, not only because of the car, but because of all the extra stuff I put in it. I might be nuts and I'm sure I'll have a few car enthusiasts raising hell - but that's the thing, it's MY car so I can add whatever options I want, as can you! If you want big 13" sub woofers with vented enclosures, you can have that.

You really have an array of options not only when it comes to a variety of products in your car, but outside as well. Go crazy!

What Need To Have Accessories Should I Have On My Car?

A lot of people are simply happy with the way their car is when they buy it from the dealership, but some of us actually enjoying adding accessories and products to our cars that weren't available from the manufacture of the car. This includes everything from car audio to mobile video - depending on what your personality is like, what kind of car you have, and what kind of products you are looking for. Some people don't like the speakers and car audio they receive when they buy their car so their first priority is to start looking at systems and speakers.

Other people want all the latest and greatest products and gadgets inside their cars. My dad is like this, if it sings, he wants it. If it got great reviews in Car & Driver, he needs it. Most of us know that kids and cars, simply don't mix. But on this particular trip the kids have been quiet as could be. You and your mate have even had a few quiet conversations, you got to listen to the radio for a while, and you don't have the usual headache. Sound too good to be true? It's not! What we are talking about here is the new technology better known as mobile video.

This is a really cool way to entertain the kids, or anyone else that might be in the front or rear seats. This cool little car audio accessory allows you to place video screen in the car. You can either place these right in the dash, and the seats, or you can use an under the seat component, which is more like a DVD player that is portable than anything else. Not only is this a cool invention and incredibly useful, but you can also get headphones as well which is great because then the driver and passenger won't have to hear the tunes to Little Mermaid for the 500th time that week!

This is great for road trips that are going to make you be on the road for hours at a time or you can use it for the x amount of minutes it takes you to get to the grocery store. First off, it's important that when shopping for speakers that you know what quality and voltage they are. If you aren't sure then you need to ask someone from the store because different voltage aspects are going to give out/off different sounds.

Also, if you’re into a lot of gimmickry, it's also important that you take a look at the various options and components for not only your car audio, but your car in general - each piece is ultimately going to personify your style. So look at things like bass (if that's important to you), being able to choose various sounds like classical, rock, country, rap, etc. Also, choose from mobile video options (watch videos in the car!) and neon lighting with is just an after affect. It's all about "show" rather than having any real function to your car besides making it look cool!

Lastly, it's important that you stick to your budget. If you can afford to do so, and find a system that is a little above what your budget is, maybe it's a good idea to spring for it this one time, especially if the speakers are of good quality! A lot of blogs such as ours will have a lot of information about the speakers we have in stock as well as various reviews and information about the products, so you really should be able to find THE perfect set or system for your radio.

Am I Allowed To Have Neon Lighting On My Car?

When it comes to certain things you might place on your car, some states do have laws. For example, in some states you cannot have tinted windows. Whereas in other states you can have tinted windows, such as in Florida, but the tint has to have a certain clarity. While we might think these laws are dumb, they are actually put in to use for a good reason. When it comes to neon lighting you also will need to look up the laws in your specific state. I know in my hometown of Pittsburgh PA, this is illegal.

You can still place them on your car, you simply cannot drive with them on. In this case, neon lighting is mainly for show. I know we have one town called Mt. Washington up at the Look Out, and if you go there at night on a Friday or Saturday you will see ten cars lined up all parked, with their neon lights on! It’s pretty cool to see and to have on your car. Just make sure you follow the laws! Other more conventional items such as car audio and mobile video may also pertain to certain laws in your city or state too.

For instance, for something like mobile video, you may only be allowed to have these screens in the backseat rather than the dashboard. Or with something like car audio, you might not be allowed to raise your volume on your system panel to a certain level. It's always best to just follow the laws where applicable! And it’s always best to get your car accessorized at www.PyleAudio.com!

Dukes of Hazzard Horn? What are the basics though? And how much is too much when it comes to car-bling? In my opinion, too much of something is non-existent when it comes to your car. Well, I take that back. If you get a horn that toots the theme from The Dukes of Hazzard - then you have gone TOO far man! Other than that though - you have so many options in front of you, it's crazy to say that there is too much of something.

I mean you can choose from car audio options like XM radio, CD players, DVD players, speaker systems, sub-woofers and amplifiers. Then, you get into visual products and you have GPS and mobile video and blu-ray! You can actually watch TV in your car (but not while you drive…!) You can play video games and watch movies! Ah! You also have cosmetic options too (outside of the car) like racing stripes (major drool-age), neon lighting (all kinds of different colors like red, orange, yellow, green, blue), spoilers, rims, carbon fiber hoods.

Oh great, see what you did! The point is, it doesn't matter what car you have, or what options you want, you can go as crazy as you want to go - in fact I hope you do! Just try to ditch The Dukes of Hazzard idea, okay?!? Even if it's a General Lee replica!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://pyleaudio.blogspot.com/2009/12/dukes-of-hazzard-horn-here-are-best-car.html' title='Dukes of Hazzard Horn? It's not huge by any means, but it can be used into coaxing your kids to stay quiet when you are going on road trips! I have two of these for my boys, they sit in both of the front seats headrests. They both can watch whatever movies or shows they want, and when they get a little older I'm thinking about adding some video game consoles to the seats as well. Should be cool. This doesn't by any means mean you should stick your kids with the TV Nanny.

But if you have a lot of "are we there yet" questions going on every 5 minutes, this can be an awesome way to keep the kids busy. Besides this isn't a "get out of my hair" thing. This is more of a "need to concentrate" thing. Now you can concentrate on the road instead of screaming in the rear view mirror! Even if you don't have kids, you can use car audio options such as mobile video for your car - you can even place one in your dash which would be super cool - just make sure you only "watch it" when it's the proper time!

Once your kids grow up you could also consider adding even more car options to your "cool mobile video" as well. One of the things I always thought looked awesome on a car was the neon lighting under the car!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://pyleaudio.blogspot.com/2009/12/taking-road-trip-with-your-family-kids.html' title='Taking A Road Trip With Your Family? Destination... anywhere! Sometimes it's just nice to get away from everyday life, roll down the windows or take the top down, and just drive. Along with the sensation and excitement you get from road trips though, you absolutely have to have some tunes for the road! Some of the best music (depending on who is in the car with you) is stuff like Born to be wild by Steppenwolf, Highway to Hell by AC/DC, Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf, and Tom Petty’s Free Fallin'.

Yea I like the old tunes what can I say! Free Fallin' totally gets me going! Hopefully you or your road trip buddy has a nice car audio system for the trip though! Nothing sucks worse in my opinion than a crappy system - one that sounds dull or "vibrates". Yuck! Another cool thing to have in the car are these mobile video "televisions" they have in cars nowadays. These are actual screen that you can place in the dash or the headrest of your car - your passenger can watch TV, play video games, or watch movies.

Now THAT is the life! One of my favorite "souped" up options on a hot car (not a hatchback kids!) is neon lighting on the undercarriage of a car. Sweet! A car is a car is a car. But add in some nifty and really cool accessories and you have got a machine worth showing off! So get your show on the road and visit www.PyleAudio.com!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://pyleaudio.blogspot.com/2009/11/taking-road-trip-take-look-at-these-car.html' title='Taking A Road Trip? Everybody knows it’s dangerous as hell, but nobody really cares enough to do anything about it. Many states are yet to ban the use of cell phone while driving (not to mention texting while driving which is far beyond my understanding…) and many traffic accidents happen because of careless drivers who try to maneuver between cell phone gossiping to actually driving on the car.

Did you know that in India you get 6 months in jail for texting to your BFF while you drive? Taylor Swift had a great SNL skit this week about the dangers of driving and… well… take a look:

Anyway, if you really must talk on the phone while you drive, you might want to visit www.PyleAudio.com and check out our extensive line of hands-free car Bluetooth cellphone systems!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://pyleaudio.blogspot.com/2009/11/cell-phone-while-driving-sure-just-get.html' title='Cell Phone while driving? For the most part, when you are ready to upgrade your system you will probably be paying a pretty penny to do so. But this is okay! I always believe in the "you get what you pay for" saying, and in this case it really hits home! If you buy a cheap $45 system, chances are it's not going to sound very good at all! It probably won't last for very long either.

Cheap systems like this oftentimes get their speakers blown out in a few tries! Save your money and buy the real deal baby! But if you buy a $400 system it's going to not only look "pretty" but sound pretty as well! You should know that car audio doesn't just include the audio system and two speakers, it's oh so much more than that.

A few of the things you should be looking for in order to find the best system for your car are things like speakers with full range, car sub-woofers, satellite radio, blue-tooth, fold out screens or mobile video options, iPod receivers or adapters, component speakers, quality amplifiers, and other "options" as well. Of course you don't have to get ALL of these products, but if you are going to be upgrading your car audio, these are a few items you should be looking for when choosing a quality system!

Want great deals on top brand car stereo equipment? For example, I never wanted to get a GPS navigator. I just love to use maps and find my own directions. Well, I’m sure you guys are thinking now that I’m the typical man who just won’t take directions from anybody… But no! I think it’s more exciting to find your own directions and even getting lost once in a while is fine with me. It’s actually fun!

Anyway… the problem starts when you find yourself more lost than found. So I agreed to install a GPS and actually, I quite like it. I don’t use it all the time. I never use it on a road trip. But when there’s a meeting somewhere and you just don’t have the time to start Google Map your address – the GPS works like magic.

So the next thing I agreed to was getting a rear view camera installed. As much as I like driving and maneuvering, I know that I’m not 18 anymore and the system really helps me to get out of tight corners and especially when vision is limited. Hey, and there are kids in the car! I’ll do anything possible to keep them extra safe. And the night vision... I mean, wow! It really helps out. I love it.

Check out Pyle.com for great LCD Monitors and Night Vision Rear View Camera. In fact, amplifiers (both digital and analog) do not impact the volume of your system, but instead improve the clarity and richness of the sound your system produces. If you want to boost the volume power of your car audio system, a wiser choice would be to invest in some new speakers.

But for those of you who won’t settle for anything less than professional-grade sound quality coming out of your car stereo a digital amplifier can make all the difference in the world.

If you want to add greater “detail” or more bass to your music then a car digital amplifier is the way to go. The most comprehensive auto digital amplifiers feature more than one channel in order to handle a number of different audio output types. Multichannel digital amplifiers for the car allow you to enjoy greater sound on a variety of different music types, as they are built to enhance bass, treble and other aspects of the music.

As with all car audio accessories, it is important to do your homework before making a purchase. This is the best way to know if a digital amplifier will meet your needs and work properly within the current stereo system.

Want great deals on top brand car stereo equipment? These laws were designed to help maintain the public peace, but can often cause quite a bit of “noise” for those who get ticketed for not following the rules.

Any law concerning car stereos was likely started at the grass roots level, by neighborhood residents who grew tired of hearing thumping bass running up and down their block at all hours of the night. These residents approached their local government officials who then put laws into place that penalize those who enjoy “cruising” with loud music.

If you’re going to be riding around town showing off your new car audio system, here are some tips to help you stay on the right side of the law.

Keep the volume on your car stereo low when driving through residential areas. Show respect for the people who live there.

Keep your windows rolled up – especially when playing music that has a strong bass line. Closed windows will help trap a good amount of the bass sound inside your car.

Read up on local laws about noise and car stereo music. Some of these laws can actually be pretty tough – potentially costing you your driver’s license or significant fines.

Don’t draw attention to yourself by playing music with offensive lyrics loudly. This is one of the fastest ways to draw the attention (and ire) of local police.

When you want the best performing car stereo systems at an affordable price visit www.pyleaudio.com and remember to be considerate!

How to choose a car stereo system? The head unit, or the receiver, should feature large buttons for easy control while driving and have a clear, bright display. When choosing a head unit, ask yourself whether you need a CD changer, or maybe a satellite radio? Do you need the system to read MP3 CDs or just connect to your iPod? These questions can help you focus on the right system that fits your needs and even save you some money.

After the head unit comes the amplifier. If you are planning to get a big set of speakers, you should get a powerful amplifier that will eliminate distortion. Weak amplifiers can damage the speakers, so don’t settle on a cheap model or else you’ll burn the system.

When choosing the speakers, the first thing to check is the size of your car’s speaker mounting units. Just measure the diameter of your current speakers in the front and back of your car and remember to measure both the width of the speakers and the mounting depth. Don’t try to force big speakers into a small mount because size doesn’t have anything to do with sound quality.

When you make your decision, or need more information about how to choose a car stereo system, remember that Pyle Audio has the gear to transform your vehicle into a screaming entertainment hub on wheels. We never fly anywhere, we just drive. Even when there are thousands of miles to our destination. We love the open road. When it was just the two of us, we used to pop in a mix CD and just drive for hours. But with kids… it’s not that they don’t like the ride but you know children, they need constant entertainment.

So we play games, and sing and talk, but there’s always that “Mom! He hit me?” or the inevitable “are we there yet.” So we thought about giving up the whole driving idea and just hop on a flight next time we take a family vacation. But then I realized that as much as we try to make the kids read and play out – the thing they love most is watching TV. Ye! They can watch their favorite shows or DVDs for hours and you know what, we have hours.

I bought a set of 10.2” headrest monitors from Pyle Audio and installed them in no time. Yes, we won’t make any money out of you, unless your car is really old and your speakers start screeching, then you might want to consider a new set of basic speakers.

If you are a Jazz Man or the Classical Type, sometimes you can even keep your original speakers and just add some tweaks here and there. Coltrane just loves a pair of good midrange units and your Schumann will sound wonderful with a new set of tweeters.

The best advice we can give you is to bring you iPod or come along with a CD of your favorite music and listen to your tunes on different types of speakers. This is a safe way to find the right speakers that meet your expectations and standards.

When you make your decision, remember that Pyle Audio has the gear to transform your vehicle into a screaming entertainment hub on wheels.
